Privacy Policy<\/h2>\n\n

This policy (together with the terms of any contract you have with us) describes how we collect and use your personal data during your use of our site, or as our student, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and associated data protection legislation. We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information (\u2018personal data\u2019). By visiting our site you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in this policy.<\/p>\n

Course applicant information<\/span><\/font><\/h4>\n

If you enrol on one of our courses, some of the information you supply may be used by:<\/span><\/p>

  • CPCAB (where this is the awarding organisation associated with your course), who may upload your achievement data to the Learning Record Service, who then in turn will update your personal learning record.<\/li>
  • The Learning Records Service, where relevant, to fulfil its statutory functions.<\/li><\/ul>

    <\/span><\/p>

    The Learning Records Service may share your Unique Learner Number (ULN) and Personal Learning Record with other education-related organisations, such as your careers service, school, college, university, Government Departments and public bodies responsible for funding your education.<\/span><\/font><\/p>


    <\/span><\/p>

    For students who use our file-sharing and e-learning facilities online, we may store the following information:<\/span><\/p>

    • \nyour course-application and any related documents from the admissions process;

      <\/p><\/lied><\/li>

    • your first name, surname and email address;<\/li>

      <\/p>

      <\/p>

    • which course you are on;<\/li>
    • your forum postings;<\/li>
    • your attendance records;<\/li>
    • assignments that you upload;<\/li>
    • tutor assessments of your work;<\/li>
    • a log of your visits to the Moodle website;<\/li>
    • information that we may need to know about special needs;<\/li>
    • any other information that you or your peers upload in assignment work or other uploads.<\/li>

      <\/span><\/p>

      Unless you’re continuing your studies with us, we’ll delete your assignment and class forum postings from our databases by the end of the following academic year (or for CPCAB accredited courses, when CPCAB no longer require us to, if that’s longer) or sooner.   Your forum postings to forums shared with other group may persist if the information may be relevant to current students, but we reserve the right to remove out of date postings from any forum at any time.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

      Glossary<\/span><\/font><\/h4>\n

      <\/span><\/p>

      Where we refer in this policy to your \u2018personal data\u2019, we mean any recorded information that is about you and from which you can be identified. It does not include data where your identity has been removed (anonymous data).<\/span><\/p>

We may automatically collect information about your visit to our site including the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL), clickstream to, through and from the website (including date and time), pages you viewed, page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from the page.<\/span><\/p>\n

      On some parts of the website, you may be asked to provide some limited personal information in order to enable the provision of certain services (e.g. requesting course details, mailing list subscription).       Unless you have engaged, or plan to engage, contractually with us we will collect the vast majority of data about you when you visit our site or submit information to us. For example to register for an event, submit contact information so that we can contact you, request an update to the site, report a problem with our site, subscribe to our newsletters, search our site or e-mail us. When you visit our site we may also automatically collect technical information about your visit from your computer.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

      This processing is necessary to meet our contractual obligations to you or to take steps requested by you prior to entering into a contract. Information processed for this purpose includes, but is not limited to name, email address.<\/span><\/p>

      2) To send you marketing or other types of communication by email e.g. forthcoming events. We do this only where you have specifically indicated that you consent to receive such communications, for example, by ticking a box. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at admin@abingdoncounsellingtraining.uk.   In this event, we will stop any processing as soon as we can. However, this will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before your withdrawal of consent and you may no longer be able to use the site in the same way you did before.<\/span><\/p>\n

      3) For purposes arising from your use of this website, for example, to ensure that we understand who uses our site and how our site is used and to improve our site and ensure it is secure. This processing occurs because it is necessary to meet our legitimate interests in operating this website. All our third-party service providers are required to take appropriate security measures to protect your data in line with our policies. We do not allow them to use your data for their own purposes.       We may store data collected by the website manually or electronically.  The data is stored on our secure servers and\/or in our premises within the UK.<\/span><\/p>\n

      There may be occasions when we transfer your data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), for example, when we communicate with you using a cloud based service provider that operates outside the EEA such as MailChimp and Eventbrite.         Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure.  Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of data transmitted to the website and any transmission is at your own risk.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

        We will only retain your data for as long as we need it to fulfil our purposes, including any relating to legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.  Where we contract to remove data from our website systems by a set date, the data may persist thereafter in backups of websites by the company which hosts the website on our behalf, in accordance with their policies for retaining website backups.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

          Depending on the circumstances and the nature of your request it may not be possible for us to do what you have asked, for example, where there is a statutory or contractual requirement for us to process your data and it would not be possible to fulfil our legal obligations if we were to stop.  However, where you have consented to the processing (for example, where you have asked us to contact you for marketing purposes) you can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us at admin@warwickshirecounsellingtraining.uk. In this event, we will stop the processing as soon as we can.  However, this will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before your withdrawal of consent and you may no longer be able to use the sites in the same way as you did before.<\/span><\/p>
