The counselling profession <\/span>is overseen by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care in the UK, who ensure that<\/span><\/font> regulatory bodies in the health professions have a set of standards for ethical and safe practice, and have Accredited Registers of qualified counsellors, the largest of which is the <\/span>British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP).<\/span><\/font> <\/span><\/p>\n The Certificate in Counselling Skills (CSK-L2) is the entry point on the path to a CPCAB-awarded qualification in counselling at Level 4, which can build in an assessment by BACP, the largest such organisation in the UK, affording candidates immediate acceptance as full BACP members upon successful completion of our training. Please note that not all CPCAB-recognised centres support a BACP-approved level 4 qualification, so please do check wi<\/span>th your preferred Level 4 provider first.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/span>Whoever you choose as your training provider, we recommend you undertake a counselling training that qualifies you to become a member of one of the bodies recognised by the UK’s Professional Standards Authority. CPCAB’s BACP-approved Level 4 Diploma meets the entry requirements for several of these bodies.
